The coach who reads the rubric and the panic.
Hi, I'm Lerato kaNomsa the founder of All Things Academia. I help postgraduate students turn overwhelm into a finished, defendable piece of research.
It started with my own messy thesis.
When I was a postgrad student, no one sat me down and explained how research actually works. I wasted months figuring out how to write a literature review, how to frame a research proposal, and how to keep going when motivation disappeared.
Once I cracked the system, everything changed. Friends started asking for help. Then strangers. Then I realised there was a gap: students didn't need more theory, they needed practical guidance and tools that actually work under deadline.
So I built All Things Academia: part coaching, part resource library, part supportive corner for honours, masters and PhD students.
My mission
To make postgraduate research feel structured, supported and achievable, so fewer students drop out and more cross the finish line.
My values
Honesty over hype, clarity over jargon, and progress over perfection. I'll always tell you what actually moves the needle.
Who I help
Postgraduate students across disciplines and time zones, from first-year honours students to PhD candidates writing up.
Not another generic "productivity guru".
I've done the degree
Real research experience means I understand supervisors, ethics applications, methodology and the emotional rollercoaster of writing up.
Tools, not just talk
Every session pairs with templates and worksheets so you leave with something you can use immediately, not just notes.
Judgment-free zone
Behind on your timeline? Lost the plot of your argument? Good. That's normal, and exactly what we'll fix together.
Free knowledge, always
My YouTube and TikTok are packed with academic writing tips, so you can get value long before you ever book a session.
